Dr Eduard Lerner, MD, PhD, Med. Sc, is currently holidaying in the luxury holiday resort of Anfi del Mar in Gran Canaria, where he has been a member for almost 20 years.
He is the director of the Dutch company ‘Lerner Medical Technology (LMT) and two further companies in The Netherlands Antilles, ‘Prognomed’ and ‘Intrabrain’ and has dedicated his life to medical research - the outcome of which has resulted in two pioneering medical breakthroughs.
- A non-invasive device, The Electroautonomograph (EAG) which is able to monitor the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and in turn detect numerous diseases of the nervous system.
- A non-invasive technology Drug Delivery System (DDS) that can be used to administer medicine directly into the brain.
EAG and DDS have been tested in multiple universities with positive results and have also been presented at several International symposiums throughout the US and Europe.
In 1997 Dr Lerner was awarded the National title ‘Dutch Top Invention’ for his Drug Delivery System. A press release at the time by NOVU (Dutch Society of Inventors) stated,
“Herewith this invention belongs to one of the most interesting developments in the field of medicine in the last decennia and can be compared with the invention of antibiotics.”
The implications for medical science are noteworthy, in particular for crippling diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and numerous common addictions such as alcohol and drug addiction, could see a direct benefit from Dr Lerner’s inventions.
In addition, Dr Lerner is in the process of having his book published. ‘Longevity’ – argues the ability to live a long life without ill health.
