The Anfi Group to hold a Fundraiser for Unicef
05/05/2011 - As a part of its ongoing project of Social Commitment, the Anfi Group is to hold a Golf Tournament on the 21st May in support of the children’s charity, Unicef.
The hotel group, European leader in the Vacation Membership industry, will host the event which will be played as a shot gun start at Anfi Tauro Golf’s 18-hole championship course and will donate all green fees received.
After the tournament, there will be a cocktail party, followed by the awards ceremony and a raffle of the prizes which have been donated by local businesses. Several members of Unicef in the Canary Islands will join the participants and will be presented with a cheque at the end of the event.
An Anfi spokesperson said, “Our main objective is to support this institution which is committed to helping the most disadvantaged children." Unicef Spain, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, has also opened a bank account in the Caja de Canarias and all money raised will go towards its “The Protection of Childhood.” project.
The tournament, which has been supported by a number of other local businesses, will begin at 09.00 hours and the green fee will cost 50€. The Anfi Group recently raised 3,300€ for the victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan and it is confident that this upcoming golf tournament will be equally successful.
