Contador Rides Again at Eneco Tour
05/08/2012 10:00:00 - Alberto Contador has confirmed that he will once again be donning the jersey of Team Saxo Bank-Tinkoff in the most anticipated come-back of the season when he returns to racing tomorrow in the Eneco Tour of Switzerland, precursor to the Vuelta a España 2012.
The cyclist, who is giving a press conference in the Netherlands today to announce his goals for this year, told Anfi, which is one of the Team’s main sponsors, that he is "more motivated than ever" and "just can’t wait to get back on the bike and show what I’m capable of".
Jose Luis Trujillo, CEO of the Anfi Group, who is in regular direct contact with Contador, said of the twenty-seven-year-old cyclist, who has done much of his training in Gran Canaria, "He’s is very happy after many months of waiting and is at optimal fitness. He more than ever, deserves the respect and admiration of everyone because we know that these recent months haven’t been easy for him."
“In this sense,” Trujillo continued,"this true champion will win again very soon and we, as always, will be there to support him."
Talking about Anfi’s sponsorship for Team Saxo Bank-Tinkoff, Trujillo said "We’re proud to display our logo (white spiral) on the Team’s jersey. A feeling that is very present in the more than one thousand employees who make up the Anfi Group's workforce”.
